Fifa fines Fufa Shs18m over rowdy Togo game

Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has issued a warning and fined Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) 5000 Swiss Francs (Shs18,031,554m).

This is in relation to an incident in which a group of supporters sat in an improper place (emergency exits and stairway) during the Uganda vs Togo fixture at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

In a communication sent by Fifa on November 7, Uganda has also been warned that they should always abide by the regulations.

Egypt that has already been qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup were also fined 20,000 Swiss Francs (Shs72, 842, 435) for improper conduct among spectators during the Congo Brazzaville game.

Mozambique, Morocco and Zambia will also face the disciplinary committee takes decisions based on the specific circumstances of each case.
