French-born coach Claude Marie Francois Le Roy and Portuguese Joao Miguel de Castro Ferreira are among those who have applied for the position of head coach Uganda Cranes.
Le Roy and Ferreira applied alongside other coaches from Italy and two from the neighbouring Kenya.
Le Roy is famed for guiding Cameroon to win the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations and Oman to 2009 Gulf Cup of Nations.
He has coached Senegal, Ghana, Congo Brazzaville, DR Congo and Togo in Africa and China, England and the middle East among other countries.
Ferreira on the other hand has coached Portugal and Saudi Arabia. He seeks to occupy the vacuum left by the Serbian born coach Milutin ‘Micho’Sredojevic.
FUFA opened for applications to be received between October 23-29th before the new coach is announced on November 15th.
CAF technical committee chairman and former Zambia FA President Kalusha Bwalya is the head of the committee that will vet the coaches.
