President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni after several sojourns abroad and other national engagements will resume his radio programs on land related matters.
According to a statement from State House, Museveni will star with Eastern region (Soroti) on Sunday.
He will grace a number of ceremonies including a fundraising at St Peter’s Cathedral in Soroti, before holding the talk show later in the day.
Relatedly, in a message delivered by Vice President, Edward Ssekandi on the World Tourism Day celebrations held at the Ssese Islands Beach Hotel in Kalangala town, along the shores of Lake Victoria held on September 27, Museveni called upon Ugandans to embrace and promote tourism.
He said tourism is a private sector driven enterprise and assured the private investors of the government’s commitment to supporting and facilitating the industry’s investment growth.
He said that the Presidential Investor’s Round Table on Tourism (PIRT) was specifically created to address the bottlenecks impeding the tourism growth.
“The initiative (PIRT) has registered progress on the fronts of travel facilitation, with the visa fees and the East Africa single tourist visa arrangements. Government is also considering more options of reducing the cost of doing business in Uganda,” he said.
