Entebbe deaths: Man found dead in Katabi

Police on Saturday at around 11:00am discovered the body of man in Nkumba central zone Katabi County in Wakiso district.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, SSP, Emilian Kayima, identified the deceased as Robert Ssonko, 50.

He was reported unconscious at Abayita Ababiri Police Station by his relatives [sister and son]. He was later found dead in the house.

“The territorial police visited the home, found him dead and we have since taken the body to Mulago national referral hospital for a post-mortem,” Kayima said.

He added: “We appeal to members of the public to avoid speculation until results from the post-mortem report are released to confirm the actual cause of death.”

Social media was also ripe with the alleged death of a one Esther-Nalwadda said to had been found raped in a plantation in Entebbe.

Police spokesman, Asan Kasingye, dismissed the report saying they only case they had was that of Ssonko. Dozens of women have so far been killed in Wakiso district.
