In Amuru district, the Elegu border is worsening as floods continue, according to Brian Kanaahe from Uganda Red Cross Society.
“We have made an assessment in Elegu to establish the damage caused by the floods. We haven’t given food items in Elegu yet but the 10kg are not enough in response to the floods in Elegu,” he said on Tuesday.
Kanaahe said Red Cross would prioritise and is working with government officials to make sure we create right responses from the data received.
