Uganda Cranes recorded a convincing 5-1 win over South Sudan Saturday in the return leg of the CHAN Qualifiers.
Cranes’ goals were scored by Derrick Nsibambi in the 33rd minute, substitute Paul Mucureezi in the 43rd, 49th, 53rd, and 57th minutes while Khamis Leon netted for South Sudan in 90th minute.
Mucureezi, the man of the day, was not satisfied by just a hat-trick but added a fourth goal as farewell to his neighbours.
Cranes head coach Micho had made three remarkable changes to the team that started away in Juba last Friday.
He brought in Moses Waiswa and Shafiq Kagimu for Geofrey Sserunkuma and Paul Musamali respectively who started in the first leg away at the Juba stadium.
Nico Wakiro Wadada, the deputy captain assumed the full responsibility since striker Geofrey Sserunkuma started on the bench.
Goalkeeper Saidi Keni, Paul Musamali, Nicholas Kasozi, Mucureezi, Masiko, Simon Sserunkuma and Geoffrey Sserunkuma were team substitutes.
Tanzania referees officiated the match that kicks off at 4 p.m.
