Homicide detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters in Kibuli have grilled Kilak South Member of Parliament, Gilbert Olanya, on the killings that recently rocked Amuru and Adjumani districts.
Olanya’s appearance at CID head offices follows summons issued by CID director, Grace Akullo, on July 4, 2017.
In her letter to the legislator, Akullo said Olanya would be required to provide them with information regarding Apaa land clashes between the Acholi of Amuru and Madi of Adjumani districts.
He was given up to Friday July 14, to appear without fail.
When the legislator did appear, he was questioned by the Commissioner Venus Tumuhimbise but later freed him without charges.
The June 7 incident left eight people dead and 25 others wounded while 104 huts were burnt in Juka village, Pabbo Sub-county.
Olanya gave detectives a list of 37 people who participated in the attack.
