Police has named the woman that was killed by the convoy of the NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba, on Monday in Kajjansi along Entebbe road.
The deceased is Jane Namara [Frances], a graduate of Kyambogo University.
Namara, a resident of Lweza and daughter of late Major Kahangye who died in a road accident in Djibouti, was pursuing her Masters degree at Uganda Management Institute [UMI].
Lumumba’s convoy rammed into Namara while she was crossing the road.
According to Rogers Mulindwa, the NRM Communications Officer, Namara was talking on phone when she was knocked.
He even claimed that Namara reluctantly rammed into Lumumba’s vehicle and damaged it yet he convoy even had a lead police car.
Charles Ssebambulidde, the Traffic police spokesperson, told Uganda Radio Network that police has commenced its investigations.
