Mubarak Munyagwa, MP for Kawempe South, has Tuesday picked nomination forms from the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) head offices in Najjanankumbi to run for the position of party president.
According to the chairperson of FDC electoral commission, Dan Mugarura, Munyagwa became the third person to pick forms from the party headquarters head offices along Entebbe road.
Yesterday, Moses Byamugisha, former youth league leader became the first to pick the nomination forms followed by Dan Malcolm Masiko, another party member.
Each candidate is expected to return the forms in August with Shs5m non-refundable nomination fee [it was initially Shs3m].
The exercise which started on Monday will continue till August 12.
Also in the race is Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu, the current party president whose term in office expires in November.
He will further be challenged by the powerful secretary general, Nandala Mafabi and former Kumi County MP, Patrick Amuriat Oboi.
