Former Uganda Cranes captain, Geoffrey Massa, is wanted by the Uganda Police for allegedly knocking a police motor bike.
On Wednesday night, police on patrol stopped Massa who had parked along the high way on the Nambole Fly Over, and talking to a woman in his car.
When police tried to talk to him, Massa sped off in a rush upon which officers attempted to shoot the tyres of the vehicle and subsequently injured the lady in the vehicle.
Emilian Kayima, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, says Massa suddenly stopped, almost hit another motorist and allegedly hit his forehead on the windscreen, injuring himself.
Police shared pictures of the policeman who survived with injuries when Massa rammed his car into the policeman’s motorcycle on the Northern Bypass in Kampala.
The policeman who had just smoked out Massa in his car with a young lady narrowly survived and is currently nursing injuries.
According to Kayima, Massa rushed to a nearby clinic called Gwatiro and he has received medical attention together with his woman friend, one Josephine Maliza.
The police have opened a General Enquiry File (GEF) on Massa in which he will be charged with reckless driving and attempted murder.
