Former Fire Base Crew vice president, Mark Bugembe aka Buchaman, on Tuesday overthrew Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and swore himself in as the new Ghetto President.

The Ragga/Dancehall artiste quietly took oath as the new Ghetto President while his former boss was enjoying the glamour and limelight at Parliament where he was sworn in as the new Kyadondo East Member of Parliament.

At a humble function held in Nakulabye, a Kampala suburb, Buchaman and a few of his closest friends played music and gave a short speech confirming himself as the new President of the Ghetto.

From now on, Buchaman will be addressed by his rightful title “His Excellency”.

Buchaman parted ways with Bobi Wine five years ago following bitter disagreements related to exploitation and greed.

He started his own crew called Badman Camp which collapsed and then he joined Sipapa Entertainment.

At Firebase, he was replaced by singer Nubian-Li [as vice president].

While Bobi was campaigning for the Kyadondo East seat recently, Buchaman showed up at a rally organised by opposition Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] at Wampeewo Grounds in Kasangati.

Buchaman went ahead and fired up the rally, performing and dancing excitedly with FDC candidate, Apollo Kantinti, who was standing against the singer’s former boss.

Buchaman was also quoted hurling some negative remarks against Bobi Wine who he labelled as “a conman”, warning voters against such “weed or ganja talk”.

According to Buchaman, it was Bobi Wine who manipulated him and crippled his music career.

Bobi Wine in response said he had no time for negativity as he was focused on uplifting the status of the common person.
