NTV baby sister Spark TV launches on DStv

NTV Uganda’s baby sister, Spark TV, has Monday been officially launched on DStv Channel 285.

Spark TV which champions NTV Edutainment is the first first Female TV in Uganda.

It specialises in entertainment especially for the women, relevant information for their advancement in business and elsewhere.

It offers fresh and original programming for the upwardly mobile Young Female that seeks to ignite their life. It is a lifestyle channel.

Xena Bantariza, NTV’s Creative Director, said the television can also be watched using the VidTV app which can be downloaded freely.

“It’s the future!” she added.

“You have been asking for Spark on DSTV and now it’s here…watch it!,” said former head of KFM, Nation media’s radio unit in Uganda and Nation Media Consultant, Peter Kabba.

Frank Walusimbi, NTV Luganda news anchor, said the station used female reporters for this bulletin because women understand each other more.

“We are also launching Spark TV’s community based news bulletin, a first of its kind, today at 9.45pm,” Walusimbi added.

According to Mercy Natukunda, the Marketing Manager, Spark TV didn’t come into the market to compete with any channel.

“We have listened to the demands of the viewers. Many have been yearning for Spark TV on DStv.”

Spark TV is on star times, Azam TV, Zuku TV, FTA (Free To Air) & now DSTV & GoTV as is the case with NTV which they watch diligently. It’s Channel 285 on DStv Uganda.
