Opposition Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] on Monday released a road map to be followed to choose the next party president.
During a press briefing at the party Headquarters in Najjanankumbi, the Secretary Publicity, Hon. Ssemujju Nganda, told journalists that preparations for the election of a party president are underway.
Nganda said an official notice will be issued by the party electoral commission calling for nominees tomorrow.
According to Nganda, July 10 and August 12 have been designated for registration and picking of nomination forms by interested candidates.
Nominations for the party president will take place from August 14 to August 16.
Open campaigns will be held from August 17 until November 17.
The election of the party’s new president will take place during the national delegates’ conference after which he will be sworn in on November 18.
The race is between current president Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu, secretary general, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, and former Kumi County MP, Patrick Amuriat Oboi as well as the youthful Moses Byamugisha.
