Knight Frank, the official property manager of Kenyan supermarkets in Uganda, says Nakumatt branches in and outside Kampala have been closed.
The closed branches are; Luthuli Rise in Bugolobi, Acacia Mall in Kololo and Victoria Mall in Entebbe.
In a statement dated July 1, 2017, Knight Frank the closed stores and malls will go under redevelopment to add value to the shoppers and their shopping exercise.
“The balance of the stores in the malls will continue to trade for your convenience as per our usual high standards”
Kenyan supermarket Chain Nakumatt has closed three of it’s major branches in Uganda as the business continues to dwindle.
The supermarket had in April 2017 closed its Muganzilwaza branch for failure to pay rent arrears amounting to Shs297m.
