Police has heavily deployed at Kasangati Resort in Wakiso district where pre-ticked ballots in favour of NRM candidate, Sitenda Sebalu, are allegedly being kept.

Chaos broke out at the Kasangati resort where some people are suspected to be rigging votes so the NRM candidate emerges winner of Kyadondo East MP seat.

Anti-riot police quickly moved in to quell rowdy people who had gathered outside the resort to reportedly break the ballot stuffing game.

Kampala Metropolitan police commander, Frank Mwesigwa, rubbished the allegations after dispersing the violent crowd.

“It’s not true that there are pre-ticked ballot papers inside Kasangati Resor,” Mwesigwa told press on the scene.

Kasangati DPC ASP Kachumu said everybody was excited and “what they are saying is complete lies. They should go and open a case file at police”.

He added: “Anyone who believes there are pre-ticked ballots inside Kasangati Resort should go and report at the police station.”
