President Yoweri Museveni is due at Parliament to pay his last respects to late Hon. Maria Mutagamba.
The former tourism minister succumbed to liver cancer on Saturday evening at a Kampala hospital.
A requiem mass was held for the long serving MP at Rubaga Cathedral in Kampala on Monday.
Mourners described Mutagamba as a hard working leader dedicated to service of others above self.
After the service, her body was taken to her home in Nakasozi Buddo near Nabingo where a night vigil was held.
Today Tuesday, the body lies in state at Parliament up to 4.30pm so legislators and public can pay tribute to her.
Thereafter a second night vigil will be held at Gamba Village Kakuuto in Rakai District.
She will be buried on Wednesday at her ancestral home in Gamba village, Rakai district.
