The Ministry of Education and Sports has embarked on a comprehensive program for collection of data on its Human resources both in Secondary schools and other Post-Primary Institutions.
In a communication to Head teachers, Principals of Technical Colleges; Primary Teachers Colleges; Farm Institutes and Community Polytechnics; Alex Kakooza, the permanent secretary in the Education ministry, said the data will inform a number of strategic interventions aimed at improving service delivery as well as the terms and conditions of service for both teaching and non-teaching personnel in the sector.
To realise this objective, the Ministry will require personal details for each of its employees across the country.
“The purpose of this Press Release, therefore, is to require all Headteachers/ Principals to submit details of staff recruited by the Education Service Commission and deployed to their respective schools/institutions, in accordance with the attached template.”
Submissions both in hard and soft form and duly endorsed by your respective chief Administrative officers ;should be submitted to the Ministry Registry on 4th Floor Room 01 by Friday 14th July 2017.
“Please note that non-compliance with the contents of this Press Release shall attract stern disciplinary action, hence the need to accord it all the seriousness and urgency it deserves.”
