Dfcu bank has Wednesday launched the Uganda Top 100 mid-sized companies’ survey 2017 its head offices in Kampala.
The top 100 survey is an initiative of KPMG and the Nation Media Group represented by Daily Monitor in Uganda.
It has been conducted since 2009 in Uganda as well as in Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
The purpose of the Top 100 survey is to identify Uganda’s fastest growing medium sized companies in orders to show case business excellence and highlight some of the country’s most successful entrepreneurship stories.
Dfcu Bank has today announced its sponsorship of the 2017 Uganda’s Top 100 mid-sized companies’ survey.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the bank’s Headquarters in Nakasero, Kampala.
Dfcu Bank MD Juma Kisaame said data collection starts tomorrow.
It will aim at both Kampala based entities and those operating from all other parts of Uganda.
“SMEs employ 2.5m Ugandans, including vulnerable groups like women and youth. This is one of the reasons we are sponsoring the survey,” Kisaame said.
The bank will sponsor selected participants to attend Business Clinics by experienced authorities in the Private Sector.
The criteria of joining the list requires a turnover range of Shs360m- Shs25b, having a 3-year audited financial track record and not listed on any stock exchange.
The survey will give business operators opportunity to learn from each other and engage policymakers on their contribution to the economy.
The results will be announced in November.
