Lokodo opens hunt in Kalule sex video saga

Angela Kalule

State Minister for Ethics and Integrity, Simon Lokodo, has started a hunt for singer Angela Kalule over a recently leaked sex video.

The video where the musician bared her breasts and confessed sweet nothings to her lover is said to have leaked after she lost her phone.

The singer has since reported a case of theft of the phone to Police.

Nonetheless, minister told the state-run New Vision that its now a habit of fading musicians to intentionally leak sex videos so as to return to the limelight.

Kalule’s Kangie Band last released her hit single ‘Katikitiki’ and has since faded into oblivion.

According to Lokodo, forgotten artistes these days resort to nudity as a ladder towards their return to stardom.

This is in relation to a 2014 incident in which singer Desire Luzinda reportedly leaked her nude pictures to sell her then newly released song ‘Ekitone’.

Other celebrities like Hellen Lukoma, Zari Hassan, Brenda Nambi, Cindy Ssanyu, Maureen Namatovu and Sanyu Mweruka have also fallen victim to this vice.

Lokodo says he won’t be cheated twice and this time, an intelligence team from Kibuli CID headquarters is already in motion to grab whoever leaked the sex video.

Meanwhile, musicians Juliana Kanyomozi and Sheebah Karungi have thrown their weight behind their fellow female artiste.

“Cyber bullying is real. And women are increasingly being targeted. It’s WRONG and it must STOP!,” Juliana said, affirming that she stands with Kalule.

Sheebah on the other hand, says women must be protected from cyber bullies so the habit does not continue.
