Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has thrashed Paidha Black Angels in the final of the 43rd FUFA Uganda Cup at the Betway Green Light Stadium in Arua.

This competition, which is organised by the FUFA Competition department attracted a total of over 130 clubs across the country starting with the preliminary round.

KCCA on Thursday evening grabbed its 9th title overall and maiden domestic double against Paidha Black Angels, a second division side which was eyeing its first ever title, thus becoming the first non-top flight side to win this prestigious knock out tournament.

KCCA’s two goals were scored by Geoffrey Sserunkuma on the 10th minute and Derrick Nsibambi on the 56th minute.

Throughout the tournament, there has been a charity cause attached to it with donations given to the Arua Remand Home.

Last year’s donations were given to the Missionaries of the Poor, a Kampala based NGO found in Kisenyi.

The happy results of the day saw Kampala Capital City Authority executive director, Jenifer Musisi, and the Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, almost kiss and make-up.

With Lukwago donning a suit and Musisi shining with a smile and her yellow jersey, the two officials shook hands and congratulated each other upon the victory.
