The Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura, is currently fuming outside the country over reports on social media claiming he is very sick.
The reports started circulating in Uganda over the weekend claiming the police chief was too sick to even speak.
Police spokesman, Asan Kasingye, was prompted to contact his boss [IGP] and find out what was going on.
Apparently, Kayihura who has been missing on the public scene and silent as the grave, has been outside the country on official duties.
“I have just talked to the IGP,” Kasingye said Monday, emphasising that Kayihura was not happy with those claiming he is sick.

“He is so mad about these reports of sickness. He is fine and doing official business,” Kasingye said.
The police spokesman said his boss is actually in Turkey on official duties.
The police chief last featured in the news recently after being grilled by President Yoweri Museveni over a deteriorating security situation in the country.
Critics had imagined that Kayihura decided to lie low like an envelope after being scolded by his boss, which is not the case.
“He will be back in the course of the week,” Kasingye confirmed.
