A memorial service for the late Carol Atuhirwe is getting underway this morning at All Saints Church in Nakasero.
The remains of the cancer patient who died in Indian, arrived yesterday afternoon at Entebbe International Airport aboard Fly Emirates.
Family and friends received the body of the 31-year-old who succumbed to throat cancer last Thursday at Narayana Hospital in Bangalore India.
She had been admitted for the past one year following a ‘Save Carol Campaign’ that collected Shs327m for her treatment.
Atuhirwe, the third born in a family of eight children, had a Bachelor degree in Industrial Art at Uganda Christian University Mukono.
After the 10am funeral service, the body will be taken to her ancestral home in Ishongororo, Kabale village, Ibanda District where she will be buried.
