The remains of Carol Atuhirwe who died of throat cancer in India, have arrived in the country ahead of a vigil tonight in Masanafu.
Carol’s body arrived at Entebbe airport aboard Emirates Airways at around 2:30pm where it was received by family members and friends.
The body was transported from the airport to Kampala by A-Plus funeral services.
Muhereza Kyamutetera who launched the “Save Carol” campaign that gathered funds for her treatment, said a night vigil will be held at Masanafu, off the northern bypass.
Carol, 31, died on Thursday at Narayana Hospital in India where she had been admitted since last year.
A church service will be held for her on Tuesday June 6th 2017, at 10am, at All Saints Church Nakasero.
She will then be laid to rest in Kabaare Village – Ishongororo, Ibanda District on Wednesday.
