The campaigns for Kyadondo MP by-election have kicked off today, Friday with six candidates vying for the same seat.
Wakiso electoral commission returning officer, Francis Nkulunziza, has already issued a harmonised campaign program for all the six candidates who he warned to stay away from bitter quarrels and fights.
The candidates are; NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu, FDC’s Apollo Kantinti, DP’s Babirye Lillian Kamome plus independents Robert Kayagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, Muwada Nkunyingi and Sowedi Kayongo Male.
Police will be readily available to take action against anyone who breaks the law without fear of favour, according to the returning officer.
Kyadondo east constituency has nine parishes; Gayaza, Kiteezi, Nangabo, Wattuba, Katadde, Wampewo, Bulamu, Masooli and Kabubbu, where candidates will hold their campaigns.
NRM’s Sebalu begins his campaigns on the third day (June 6) with an opening rally in Wampewo and the final rally will be held on June 27, in Kabubbu.
