Tanzanian Bongo Flava recording artist and dancer, Naseeb Abdul Juma, popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is reportedly coming to Uganda for the burial of Ivan Ssemwanga.
Rwanda’s Imbaraga Radio reported that East Africa’s number one artiste will be in Uganda for his third time.
This time round, the radio reported, the singer is not coming to perform but attend and mourn Ssemwanga, Zari`s ex-husband.
Zarinah Tlale Hassan hooked up with Diamond Platnumz at the close of 2014 after separating with her toy boy, Farouk Ssempala, a month earlier.
She has so far given him two babies on top of Ssemwanga’s three kids.
It is not clear how Platnumz will be received by Ssemwanga’s relatives who nearly fought with Zari over the weekend at the Muyenga vigil.
They accuse of her being ill-mannered and breaking Ssemwanga’s heart leading to his death when she left him for the Tanzanian singer.
Speaking at the University of Nairobi in Kenya on Friday, Diamond said he fears tomorrow and that one day one time he will not be popular as he is now.
“Each and every right-thinking man must be afraid of the future because he doesn’t know what tomorrow will bring. If you are not afraid of tomorrow, you can’t save, you can’t respect people and you can’t do your very best in life,” he is quoted by Kenyan media as saying.
He added: “Given that I am afraid of my future and I am afraid to fail I am forced to save for tomorrow and help other people because you never know who will help you tomorrow.”
According to the earlier burial programme, Semwanga will be laid to rest today, Tuesday in Kayungu his home district.
