Mafabi canvasses votes for FDC candidate in Toroma

Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] Party Secretary General also Budadiri West MP, Rt. Hon Nathan Nandala Mafabi, is still camped Toroma county Katakwi district, canvassing support for the opposition candidate in the by-election.

Mafabi, accompanied by Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi, is rallying voters to choose FDC candidate, Martin Odaka, to make sure he wins the Parliamentary by-election for Toroma County due on the 18th of May.

“The reception has been positive. We are winning,” the confident secretary-general said.

Earlier, the former party president, Dr. Kizza Besigye, also campaigned for Odaka and used the opportunity to blame the country’s current food shortage on government policies that are tailored towards impoverishing people.

The former Toroma county Member of Parliament, Cyrus Amodoi, was killed in a road accident in March.

Meanwhile, the electoral commission chair, Justice Simon Byabakama Mugenyi, has announced the road map of Kyadondo county East constituency by-elections.

Starting with nominations on 30th – 31st May 2017, 1st June as harmonisation of the campaign programme, official campaign starts 2nd June 2017 and elections on 26th June 2017.

FDC is backing its flag bearer, Hon Apollo Kantinti, to reclaim the seat also being eyed by musician, Bobi Wine.
